Alex for President!

Craig| July 7, 2008 6:34 pm

Just in time for the upcoming presidential election, an alternative for those disenfranchised by their choices.  No more young than McCain old and only a slightly shorter name than Barack Hussein Obama Bin Laden we present Alexander Stephen Deines!

Alex Deines for President

As a proven leader he was born first among his peers.  A top public servant whose life dream is to feed the hungry, ice cream.  A seasoned conflict negotiator not unwilling to push, shove or shake when provoked.  His natural humor reaches across the isles, hence his ability to network, connect and make friends.  Help start this grass root effort, lets get Alex sworn into office next year!

Juggling the Kids

Craig| June 18, 2008 11:17 am

Proof that four kids are easy enough to manage, Sonya and I can still lift all four kids. I figure it’s a little more than 200 lbs of kid. Here is Sonya, Quinton hanging on back, Grace, Luke and Alex just dangling on by a thread. Go Mom!

Here I am, Alex on the left, Quinton on the top middle, Luke on the bottom middle and Grace on the far right.

I don’t know how much longer we will be able to do this, but it sure was fun trying. And something to remember for next time, turn off the ceiling fan first. Stay tuned for my next post, Sonya and my recent back troubles…. :)

Quinton’s Birthday!

Craig| June 12, 2008 8:46 pm

Quinton turned 12 on June 11th and celebrated like a rock star! The big day started by waking up early so we could drive 70 miles to a doctor appointment! Yep thats right, what a killer way to celebrate. We tried to convince the Dr. to give him twelve shots, but he seemed all to willing so we backed off. We spent the rest of the day killing time in Mesa so we could have a Birthday dinner at Organ Stop Pizza with Grandpa Bob, Uncle Rob and Aunt Elaine. We went to lots of store’s which normally Quinton would despise but he made out Quinton\'s Birthday.pretty good on this shopping trip. Dinner was fun and a surprise for Quinton. There is nothing quite like having happy birthday sung to you by a restaurant full of people led by one of the largest pipe organs in the world (see is here). Rock star I tell ya, all the way!

The previous Sunday we went to Grandpa and Grandma Kelley’s for dinner. Aunt Allycia surprised Quinton by taking him shopping were he spent money she and Grandma gave him. He made out quite nicely on that trip as well. We had cake and ice cream and all the birthday fun! Thanks G and G.

I posted some picture’s in the photo section so check them out! Sorry about the last few pictures, someone forgot the camera so we had to use the camera phone.

You may notice something at the bottom of this page that says comments…. click on it and leave Q a birthday wish. Peace and Love.

Fingers and Doors

Craig| May 22, 2008 11:13 am

If you are are a parent or have been around kids much I am sure you have said “don’t play with doors” many times. Unfortunately Luke found out first hand (err first finger?) why we say that.

Always Find a Reason to Smile! Grace and Luke were playing with the bathroom door when pinch. Luke came running with a cry that got my attention (most don’t), and Grace hid. It took a minute or so to start bleeding but when it did, man it bled. We took him to get it looked at and X-rayed, thankfully it’s not broken. We just hope his finger nail grows back. All in all he was really brave.

All Grace had to say was “I didn’t notice”, but she sure acted guilty. She even “gave” Luke her second favorite stuffed animal, but only after Alex gave him his first favorite.

Ouch

He gets my vote for Super Trooper of the day!

Triplet Birthday Video

Craig| May 9, 2008 10:33 pm

Hi, I added a short video of the kids blowing out the candles at their party this past Saturday. Check it out…

If I get a chance I will add another video that is a little more all inclusive. Enjoy.

Birthday Pictures!

Craig| May 8, 2008 7:32 pm

If you click on the “photos” link you will find pictures of the Triplets birthday party.

If you have kids you know how difficult it can be to plan a party. Take for instance choosing a theme… Deigo, Dora, Disney Princess, Zoo Animals… now try to get three kids to agree on one. The odd thing is they all came to us and said we want a “hula” party. Shame on us for showing them a birthday party magazine that came in the mail. But one trip to the dollar store and it was settled!! They had every luau decoration you could want all for the low price of… you guessed it, a buck!

The party was very nice, the kids were lucky enough to have a lot of family and friends attend and they really had a blast. We played bingo, limbo, pass the coconut, musical towels, pin the tail on the lion, and water ballon toss. We had a pinata and we made bouncy balls.

We had a Hawaiian cuisine. Speaking of which we need to give a special thanks to Grandpa Kelley for helping us out with this. As if that wasn’t enough we topped it off with ice-cream cake.

It was great to watch the kids open presents, they were so enthusiastic. All in all everyone had a super time, especially the birthday trio!
