Fingers and Doors

Craig| May 22, 2008 11:13 am

If you are are a parent or have been around kids much I am sure you have said “don’t play with doors” many times. Unfortunately Luke found out first hand (err first finger?) why we say that.

Always Find a Reason to Smile! Grace and Luke were playing with the bathroom door when pinch. Luke came running with a cry that got my attention (most don’t), and Grace hid. It took a minute or so to start bleeding but when it did, man it bled. We took him to get it looked at and X-rayed, thankfully it’s not broken. We just hope his finger nail grows back. All in all he was really brave.

All Grace had to say was “I didn’t notice”, but she sure acted guilty. She even “gave” Luke her second favorite stuffed animal, but only after Alex gave him his first favorite.

Ouch

He gets my vote for Super Trooper of the day!

Triplet Birthday Video

Hi, I added a short video of the kids blowing out the candles at their party this past Saturday. Check it out…

If I get a chance I will add another video that is a little more all inclusive. Enjoy.

Birthday Pictures!

If you click on the “photos” link you will find pictures of the Triplets birthday party.

If you have kids you know how difficult it can be to plan a party. Take for instance choosing a theme… Deigo, Dora, Disney Princess, Zoo Animals… now try to get three kids to agree on one. The odd thing is they all came to us and said we want a “hula” party. Shame on us for showing them a birthday party magazine that came in the mail. But one trip to the dollar store and it was settled!! They had every luau decoration you could want all for the low price of… you guessed it, a buck!

The party was very nice, the kids were lucky enough to have a lot of family and friends attend and they really had a blast. We played bingo, limbo, pass the coconut, musical towels, pin the tail on the lion, and water ballon toss. We had a pinata and we made bouncy balls.

We had a Hawaiian cuisine. Speaking of which we need to give a special thanks to Grandpa Kelley for helping us out with this. As if that wasn’t enough we topped it off with ice-cream cake.

It was great to watch the kids open presents, they were so enthusiastic. All in all everyone had a super time, especially the birthday trio!
